The Squash World Tour was invited to officially inaugurate the squash courts at Europahalle in Vienna, Austria on December 17th 2021.

One goal of the Squash World Tour is to increase the number of squash courts. That’s why it was a great honor that we have been invited to officially inaugurate the squash courts at the Europahalle sports center in the south of Vienna. They offer 13 indoor tennis courts, 4 badminton courts, 4 indoor golf simulators, table tennis and from December 17th 2021: 4 FRESHLY RENOVATED SQUASH COURTS! Check out our video: Europahalle CEO Matthias Schiffer explains why they opened up the squash courts. Find out how it felt to play on the new courts. The first game was played by two of our new members, Lukas and Marcel. Joel and Peter had the honor to play the first match.

Peter #teamyellow wins first & last match

Lukas #teamorange and Marcel #teamyellow played the first game on the centre court. After that 2021 Squash World Tour Champion Joel #teamorange and Peter #teamyellow played the wirst match on the newly renovated court. After a bad season for Peter #teamyellow who so far couldn’t win a match on the Squash World Tour 2021 (check out the posts about Dubai, Graz & Thessaloniki) there was a happy end for the 2020 Squash World Tour Champion. A solid 3-0 win (11-5, 11-9, 11-8) over Joel was the first win for Peter in 2021 and the last as the season ends here!

Invite the Squash World Tour to your club

We will play in your club, tell your story and promote your venue. Ideally get a local sponsor involved – we may print the sponsor’s logo on our match shirts and may be available for a public relations meeting with the sponsor during our visit. We will post about the visit on our social media channels, tag your club and sponsors and tell the community all there is to know.

Additionally we will add information to the Squash Players App – where squash heads around the world find out about squash venues.

We are always open for other cooperations that help to promote the game of squash that are aligned with our goals!
